History of TAF Group
The history of TAF Group began in 1997 with the foundation of a limited liability company OOO TAF Logistica. The company mainly specialised in freight forwarding (automobile and air transportation) as well as in a range of customs clearance services. At the stage of development, this company focused on project business, which typically involves transportation of processing equipment, of separate processing lines or industrial facilities as a complete package (plants and power stations).
TAF Group was established in 2004. At that time it included the limited liability companies OOO TAF Logistica operating in Russia und Transwaal AF GmbH operating in Germany. The head office of TAF Group is located in Hamburg, Germany. The foundation of the Group provided positive influence on the whole procedure of transportation logistics. The Russian company TAF Logistica managed to improve the procedure of preliminary control of the inbound goods thanks to a new partner in Europe having at his disposal consolidation and deconsolidation terminals, which allow our team to verify shipping documentation in detail.
The increased volume of project-related activities in the field of energy industry and agriculture led to a further TAF expansion. The Russian company “TAF Soprovozhdenie proektov “ (Russian for “project supporting”) became a part of TAF Group. It focuses on an all-round support of large investment projects in terms of arranging importation, obtaining all necessary permissions and advising clients on international trade, customs and financial regulations.
A further TAF Group expansion took place in 2008. TAF Customs was the next logical step in terms of extending the range of our services. The new company enhanced our operational capabilities and contributed to improvement of the quality of services provided by TAF Group.
Over the years, the companies have gained considerable experience in different types of transportation and customs clearance of goods including those requiring special handling, such as laboratory equipment and pharmaceutical drugs, which must be shipped at temperatures below the freezing point.
Over more than fifteen years of the TAF Group history, our companies have gained recognition and trust of numerous customers at the Russian as well as at the European market.
